Scott Ferson is President of The Liberty Square Group, and provides strategic public and government relations counsel to a broad range of clients. Mr. Ferson brings twenty-five years of experience working with corporations, elected and appointed officials, community groups, and the media to reach solutions to complex problems through a strong understanding of how the public responds to information.

A former Press Secretary to Senator Edward M. Kennedy, he has also provided communications counsel to a number of prominent political candidates, causes and organizations, including Lieutenant Governor Timothy P. Murray and Congressman Stephen F. Lynch, the Special Olympics International Games, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Boston Temple Construction, Christy Mihos during his successful battle to retain his seat on the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, and the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe.
Mr. Ferson has worked on numerous campaigns, including the Patrick/Murray campaign in 2006, the 1988 and 2004 presidential campaigns of Congressman Richard Gephardt, the 2001 campaign for Congressman Stephen Lynch and the 1994 campaign for Senator Ted Kennedy. As a Democratic strategist, he has appeared on Fox News, Channel 2’s Greater Boston, News Night on New England Cable News, and others, and is a “Democratic Insider” for the National Journal’s Insider’s Poll.
