Matthew Patton

Matthew Patton, Account Executive for the Liberty Square Group, brings experience in political management and community relations at the federal, state, and local levels.  He has a strong background in community organizing, campaign management, event planning, advance, and political fundraising.

As former Director of Outreach to United States Congressman John F. Tierney, he was responsible for assisting constituents to access federal programs and agencies, as well as managed issues for the Congressman in the 6^th Congressional District. This included the planning of community meetings, roundtable discussions, and forums on issues such as education, energy, and consumer protection.  

Mr. Patton has also worked on and managed both political and legislative campaigns, including: a successful state senate campaign in Maryland to unseat an incumbent Republican; a statewide legislative advocacy campaign for Common Cause; and Mark Kennedy Shriver’s Congressional Campaign.

While working on the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games, Mr. Patton advanced Vice President Joseph Biden on his visit to the Games;,worked with Special Olympics’ staff to oversee VIPs and coordinated an event bringing together Special Olympic athletes, Fortune 500 CEOs and top civic leaders.

Mr. Patton holds a bachelor of arts from the Catholic University of America in political science and currently is attending the Massachusetts School of Law.
