Colin J. Mahoney
As Senior Vice President of Public Relations, Colin Mahoney develops strategic consumer and corporate campaigns, government affairs programs and community outreach strategies to a variety of clients. Mr. Mahoney’s focus includes work within the clean-tech, health care, health tech and defense industries. He is also deeply experienced in executing international communications campaigns, having served clients in the Middle East, Europe and Asia in addition to campaigns throughout North America.
Mr. Mahoney began his career working with elected and appointed officials including US Congressman John F. Tierney, former Massachusetts Senate President Thomas F. Birmingham and on the 2004 Presidential Campaign of US General Wesley K. Clark, serving in a rage of positions focused on policy and media issues. He then moved to the private sector and worked for some of the world’s most reputable global public relations agencies serving in senior positions developing new business, managing accounts and strategy.
Employing a variety of tactics including product launches, strategic positioning, crisis communications, trade show support, events, analyst campaigns, M&A/IPO strategies and strategic government engagement programs, Mr. Mahoney has helped clients establish positioning that maximizes brand, attracts investment and public capital and increases overall market value. He has also helped nonprofit and advocacy organizations gain visibility with key stakeholders through strategic media placement, grass roots outreach and government engagement campaigns resulting in an increased ability to raise capital and promote policy initiatives.
Mr. Mahoney is a resident of Boston and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts.
